InStranet Expands Extranet Information
Exchanges to Corporate Enterprises in Japan
Informatix K.K. and InStranet form Strategic
Relationship to Address Expanding Enterprise-level Web Content Management
Market in Japan
Tokyo/New York, March 12, 2001 –
InStranet Inc. announced today that it will offer its innovative
enterprise-level Web content management software in Japan through
a strategic partnership with Informatix K.K, a leading Japanese
software systems integrator and distributor. The two entities have
joined efforts to address the increasingly urgent need for enterprise-level
Web content management solutions for both Japanese-based and global
companies.
"Content management is key to the efficient delivery of services
and information between corporations and their business partners,"
stated Masanori Nagashima, President of Informatix. "By addressing
the need to streamline service-related interaction, InStranet and
Informatix will help clients put in place a long-term e-business
strategy that will give them a competitive advantage in their industry."
Headquartered in New York and Paris, InStranet's strategic relationship
with Informatix is part of its efforts to introduce its flagship
product, InStranet 2000, to key markets worldwide. Under the terms
of the initiative, Informatix and InStranet will work together to
create extranet-based solutions that facilitate the exchange of
service-related information between companies and their business
partners.
InStranet 2000 is an open platform, Java-based Web content management
solution designed to operate in large corporate environments. Available
in French, English, and Japanese, it allows non-technical users
to independently generate and classify multimedia Web content with
"drag and drop" functionality, using only a browser. Publishers
can create Web pages that dynamically change based on who is viewing
them, and users can further personalize their own view of the information
provided. Additional benefits of InStranet's patent-pending multidimensional
Web content management technology include faster time to market
for enterprise-level implementations, dramatic improvement in the
ability to locate and retrieve content, and lower total cost of
ownership.
"With Informatix's expertise in system integration and the
innovative capabilities of InStranet 2000, we can move quickly to
address the ever-growing market for a Web content management solution
that facilitates the exchange of an enterprise's enormous operations-based
content," stated Jean-Noël Grandval, Co-founder, Vice
President and General Manager, Europe and Asia. "InStranet
is working with a number of international companies currently, including
Zurich U.S., AXA Corporate Solutions and France Telecom. Expanding
our presence from the U.S. and Europe to Japan is the next step
in addressing this market."
