AXA Corporate Solutions Chooses
InStranet 2000 for Strategic E-Business Initiative
InStranet 2000 will enable AXA to exchange
mission-critical service-related information with top corporate
clients
New York/Paris, March 22, 2001 –
AXA Corporate Solutions, an in-house group created by AXA, one of
the world’s leading insurers, has selected an extranet/intranet
application from InStranet, Inc. to help streamline the exchange
of service-related information with clients and among business units,
it was announced today.
AXA provides insurance, reinsurance and asset management services
to major corporations worldwide. AXA Corporate Solutions is leading
AXA's efforts to redefine the traditional role of insurance companies
for its multinational clients operating across all business sectors.
InStranet developed and markets InStranet 2000, innovative enterprise-level
software applications designed to facilitate the exchange of operations-based
information. AXA Corporate Solutions has chosen the InStranet 2000
software to provide both in-house business units and major clients
with a single, individualized point of entry to key account and
service information. With InStranet 2000, relationship managers
from both enterprises will be able to publish and organize Web content
in a secure, permissions-based environment, with all critical account
documents available in a centralized format.
"As a customer-driven organization, AXA Corporate Solutions'
goal is to provide its clients with the most innovative technologies
available," stated Michel Buker, Senior Vice President, Marketing
and E-Solutions, AXA Corporate Solutions. "We selected InStranet
2000 because it allows us to provide our clients with a single point
of entry to the full-range of services we offer. InStranet 2000's
application enables us to collaborate more efficiently internally
and externally."
InStranet’s flagship product, InStranet 2000, is a patent-pending,
multidimensional database technology that streamlines the organization
and navigation of Web content for e-business initiatives through
its Content Warehouse. An open platform, Java-based Web content
management solution, InStranet 2000 is designed to operate in large
corporate environments, allowing users to create an online model
of complex organizations and operational business structures. Non-technical
business users independently generate and classify multimedia Web
content with "drag and drop" functionality, using only
a browser. Publishers can create Web pages that dynamically change
based on who is viewing them, and users can further personalize
their own view of the information provided. Access to information
is based on the viewer’s defined role within the community,
with security levels set by the site administrator and the individual
publisher. Additional benefits of InStranet 2000 include faster
time to market for enterprise-level implementations, dramatic improvement
in the ability to locate and retrieve content, and lower total cost
of ownership.
"InStranet 2000 is well-suited for the service-driven insurance
industry," stated Jean-Noel Grandval, Co-founder and General
Manager. "With our multidimensional technology and intuitive
design, AXA Corporate Solution's internal business-users and clients
will be able to easily access and publish Web content. InStranet
2000 responds to AXA Corporate Solution’s need to offer superior
service to its clients."
