Improves Financial Information Exchange Between Departments
at EFIPOSTE
InStranet Enables the Investment Arm
of France’s Postal Service, EFIPOSTE, to Better Manage Critical
Business Information Between Departments
Paris, February 5, 2002 –
Enterprise Information Exchange (EIX) specialists, InStranet,
today announced the implementation of an Intranet project
at EFIPOSTE, the investment subsidiary of La Poste, France’s
Postal Service, in charge of the management of assets relating
to postal accounts holders.
Confronted with the constant increase in activity and the
sheer volume of information handled on a daily basis, EFIPOSTE
needed a solution that could efficiently streamline the organisation
and enable the company to share and distribute information
via a secure and easily accessible Intranet site. The communication
needs of the project were rapid information delivery, with
a particular emphasis on the dissemination of reports within
various departments.
InStranet was chosen to provide the answer to these needs
and has implemented an open and scalable solution permitting
non IT business users to publish, organise and secure content
in an intuitive manner, while ensuring rapid access and delivery.
Developed for browser-based communication, InStranet’s
centralised infrastructure allows for large deployments and
permits the access and enrichment of information.
"This has been a particularly strategic project for
EFIPOSTE. We have been pleased with the way in which the project
has been tackled and rolled out, an approach that is greatly
appreciated when dealing with new technology vendors,"
stated Eric Poglio, Director of Market Operations, EFIPOSTE."
"InStranet provides a well-adapted solution to business
critical projects such as EFIPOSTE. When exchanging financial
information, the Intranet is a sensitive application, not
only for circulating financial information, but also for the
business needs of internal processes," declared Jean-Noël
Grandval, Managing Director EMEA and Asia, InStranet. "We
are happy to bring to EFIPOSTE a solution that allows them
to efficiently manage the increasing problems associated with
information overload, all in a highly personalised and secure
environment."
About EFIPOSTE
EFIPOSTE is a wholly owned subsidiary and the financial arm of La Poste, France’s Postal Service. The conception of EFIPOSTE reflects the decision made by the French Government to shift the management of assets of postal account holders to La Poste. This decision allows the company to conduct this activity within a decentralised organisation, while respecting the regulations and the procedures of financial institutions. This new activity constitutes an important step for La Poste, which now owns the entire financial process, from the creation of products and services to the management of assets.
