| BNP Paribas Lease Group Chooses
InStranet to Facilitate the Exchange of Business-Critical Information
France’s leading corporate investment financing
group enhances the sharing of its expertise and resources with the
help of InStranet
New York/Paris, March 12, 2002 –
BNP Paribas Lease Group, France’s leading corporate investment
financing group, has chosen an enterprise information exchange (EIX)
application from InStranet Inc. to facilitate the exchange of information
internally and with its network of branch offices and European subsidiaries.
InStranet is the leader in EIX applications.
Created in July 2000 following a merger of BNP and Paribas and a restructuring
of its subsidiaries, BNP Paribas Lease Group has focused on developing
an efficient exchange of information among its collaborators. The
company sees the implementation of an information exchange platform
not only as a means of creating better synergy among the group’s
services, but also as a strong added value for customers, who will
be able to take full advantage of BNP Paribas’ extensive expertise
and array of services.
By integrating InStranet’s EIX technology,
BNP Paribas Lease Group’s 2,600 collaborators will be able to
intuitively exchange personalized information concerning the company’s
many activities and business units, as well as important sales/marketing
documentation from its 60 branch offices in France, in an organized
and secure environment. InStranet’s flexible and adaptive software provides BNP Paribas
Lease Group with a solution that allows business users without any
special IT training to independently and securely publish, organize
and exchange content online. Developed as a centralized infrastructure,
the InStranet 2.0 Java-based solution integrates seamlessly with
existing applications, and can be implemented rapidly and deployed
on a large scale. “InStranet’s innovative technology appealed to us because
of its multidimensional approach to information-gathering and the
many functionalities offered for complex information management
on our Intranet,” says Francois-Regis Martin, manager of BNP
Paribas Lease Group’s Internet and New Technologies Division
unit. “InStranet’s open architecture doesn’t require
heavy IT investments for system deployment and maintenance. Furthermore,
it enables us to keep complete control of all aspects of project
management as well as future developments. The heads of our different
business units have already realized the strategic value of a well-organized
and efficient corporate information exchange system linking us to
our branch offices in France and subsidiaries in Europe. We could
eventually envision extending access to these services to our business
partners and customers.” About BNP-Paribas Lease Group A 100% subsidiary of BNP Paribas, BNP Paribas Lease Group provides
